I provide services on a fee for service basis.
My services as a psychologist are not covered by O.H.I.P; however, many private insurance plans with extended health care benefits include part or full payment of services provided by a registered psychologist. You can also speak to a tax professional about whether you can deduct a portion of your fees from your income taxes.
Fees are typically paid at the end of each session. You will be given a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company or keep for your records.
Privacy of Your Personal Health Information
Ensuring the privacy of personal information is an essential principle guiding my work. Psychologists are bound by professional standards and by legislation to maintain confidentiality.
I discuss confidentiality with clients at the first session, and I provide a written description of the privacy policies covering my service upon request.
As a psychologist, I do not prescribe medication.
When clients are on medication prescribed by their physicians or psychiatrists I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with the prescribing physician.
If you must cancel an appointment, kindly let me know at least one week in advance.
Please note that you will be charged the full fee for missed appointments unless you cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
